Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom. – Luke 23:35-43
Jesus hangs on the Cross while leaders, soldiers, and onlookers mock Him, yet He continues to pour out mercy. One criminal rejects Him, but the other turns to Him in humility and faith, saying, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
He is not God of the dead, but of the living. – Luke 20:27-40
Jesus teaches the Sadducees that the resurrection is real and that God is truly the God of the Living. When they attempt to trap Him with a question about marriage in the afterlife, He refutes their premise and explains that in the resurrection people are like angels, belonging fully to God.
