An angel warns Joseph in a dream to flee to Egypt with Mary and Jesus to escape King Herod’s deadly plot. Joseph rises immediately, obeying without hesitation to protect Jesus and Mary, and he leads the Holy Family into a dangerous exile.
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. John 1:1-18
In the opening of John’s Gospel, we proclaim the great mystery that The Word Became Flesh and dwells among us. Jesus, the eternal Son who exists from the beginning with God and is God, enters our human story in love and humility.
