The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. – John 1:1-18
John’s Gospel opens with the eternal truth that the Word became flesh and dwells among us. From the beginning, the Word, Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, exists with the Father and is Himself God.
She spoke of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem. – Luke 2:36-40
In the Temple, the prophetess Anna, an elderly widow devoted to prayer and fasting, recognises the infant Jesus as the promised Redeemer. Her long years of faithfulness prepare her to see God’s saving work clearly.
