Explanation
As Jesus approaches Jericho, a blind man cries out to Him for mercy, despite the crowd’s attempts to silence him. Instead of passing by, Jesus stops, listens, and asks, “What do you want me to do for you?” The man boldly asks for his sight to be restored, and Jesus heals him immediately, commending his faith. This miracle shows that healing faith opens our lives to God’s power. Jesus listens to persistent prayer and responds with love, revealing that He not only restores physical sight but also gives spiritual vision, enabling us to follow Him faithfully. In this moment, Jesus shows that He hears every cry, and through trust in Him, we experience His love and mercy.
Reflection
Jesus invites us to speak honestly about our deepest needs, trusting Him enough to name our wounds, fears, and desires. Like the blind man, we often face obstacles and distractions that try to silence us, yet Jesus calls us to boldly present our needs to Him. When we cry out, even in our darkness, He listens and responds. He asks each of us, “What do you want Me to do for you?” This invitation to honest prayer and deep trust allows Jesus to open our eyes, both physically and spiritually. As we bring our real needs to Him, we trust in His power to heal, restore, and guide us forward. Through His grace, He helps us recover our sight, see God’s will more clearly, and find hope, truth, and the next step in faith. Jesus hears us more than we realise, and through Him, we find the strength to move beyond our blindness and follow Him faithfully.

Bring your deepest need to Jesus in honest prayer, trusting that Jesus Opens Our Eyes to see His grace at work. Let Jesus hear your honest prayer today, walk forward with healing faith.
