Resisting Temptation with Christ
Resisting Temptation begins with Jesus, who fasts for forty days in the desert and faces real trials of hunger, power, and glory. When Resisting Temptation, He answers every attack from the devil with God’s Word and complete trust in the Father. The Holy Spirit leads Him into the desert, and He remains obedient, refusing every subtle trap of pride and comfort. In doing so, Christ overcomes where Adam failed and opens a new path of victory for us. Therefore, He shows us that prayer, fasting, and Scripture strengthen our hearts against sin. As we enter Lent and daily discipleship, He walks with us, giving grace to stand firm.
Resisting Temptation in Daily Life
Resisting Temptation begins in the small, daily choices where comfort, success, or approval seem easier than obedience and trust. When we feel weak or drawn to quick fixes, Jesus shows that prayer and Scripture are our strongest weapons. He enters our “deserts” with us and fights for us, not from a distance but at our side. Therefore, Lent becomes a training ground where fasting and confession help us start again whenever we fall. As we practice small sacrifices, our courage grows and our hearts lean more on grace than on ourselves. In this way, Resisting Temptation with Christ shapes our whole life as disciples.
